Kaija Saariaho

Kaija Saariaho (b. 1952) is one of the most noted Finnish contemporary composers and the patron of the Helsinki Music Centre organ project.

She has written an extensive amount of vocal music, four operas, chamber music, and several symphonies composed for various symphony orchestras. Kaija Saariaho has resided in Paris since 1984.
